Robot Heroes Wave 02: Bumblebee Vs. Soundwave Review

Robot Heroes Wave 02: Bumblebee Vs. Soundwave
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've bought the Bumblebee and Soundwave pack because they were the transformers i liked most when i was a kid.
These figures DO NOT TRANSFORM, and you must have that in mind if you buy them for a kid.
However, they are poseable and you can twist their arms and their heads around. They are very stable and they will keep standing up in almost any position; they also seem to be made of some kind of rubber.
The main reason why i like these little robots is that they look exactly like the cartoons. Not like the transformers G1 toys. Instead, they look chunky, cartoonish and fun. Bumblebee has a smirk on his face just like he did on the animated series. Soundwave seems to be pointing at himself like asking "Who, me ?". They seem to be having a lot of fun and i've just blue-tacked them to the top of my computer monitor as an ornament. I will probably get all the other figures.

The Dirt Digger Team is a Decepticon team.Oil Slick is a murky red muscle car with purple flame chasing and matching Decepticon emblem. In robot mode, he looks equally belligerent, a bulky thug with a purple slit visor and a serrated blade and jagged pincher serving as hand appendages.Grindor is a black monster truck highlighted with noxious green splatters. In robot mode heâ?TMs reminiscent of the Vehicon Blastcharge. His head is built into his blocky shoulders, and his legs are thickened by stacked tires.Dirt Rocket is a dirt bike bearing a more than passing resemblance to Energon Rapid Run; the yellow and black cycle is chased with purple flames and mounted with a matching Decepticon emblem. Dirt Rocketâ?TMs robot mode looks to be the coolest among the Dirt Digger team; he has a sleeker design with a squat sharklike head.

Transformers Energon Basic Figure: Strongarm Review

Transformers Energon Basic Figure: Strongarm
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Most Transformers fans think of the Generation 1 character Hound when they think of a transforming jeep...now fans have new jeep and a great one at that. Since Energon is a continuation of the Armada series, its great to see basic sized Transformers again. Strongarm sports a tobacco-ish yellow color scheme that works really well. All of his red Energon weapons/accessories really stand out and honestly look a little odd, but once you remove them you'll see that they are multifunctional. 2 small pieces fit together to form a spare tire of sorts that fit on the back of the jeep, or they separate and fit on the sides of his arms. The large hook type accessory can fit in his hand or mount on his shoulder. All of the red Energon pieces fit together to form a rather large battle axe type weapon. Its a bit too large for the basic sized TFs to hold, but perfect for the deluxe size TFs like Hot Shot or Inferno. Rather easy transformation and good articulation for a figure his size, this is my favorite Energon TF so far. Definately worth the $6-8 price tag he carries.
Its been awhile since we've had good solid basic sized TFs and Hasbro sure hasn't let me down so far. Both Omnicons (Strongarm and Sky Blast) that have been released so far are great additions to any TF collection, whether you're a fan of the newer stuff or not. If Armada didn't live up to your expectations, then try Energon before you write it off as another cheesy TF incarnation.

Transformers Universe: Skywarp Review

Transformers Universe: Skywarp
Average Reviews:

Skywarp has three modes, Hover, Jet, and Robot. Hover mode is funky, it's Skywarp in robot mode except you do some funky stuff with his legs so he looks like a hovering robot. Jet mode is my favorite. His front peice folds out but I prefer it in and he has two missles on his wings. And last but not least, Robot mode. His missles are on his arms and he has awsome posibility. Skywarp is hard to transform which make hime cool. He's also smaller than a normal 10 doller sive guy but rocks. Skywarp is unique and has an awsome looking face. So I geuss what I'm trying to say is, BUY HIM!

This toy is a cute homage to Transformers Generation 1.
One complaint is that for some reason Arcee is stuck on this "platform", it's molded to her feet. This makes it a little odd to play with.

Titanium Series Transformers 6 Inch Metal Cybertron Heroes Scorge Review

Titanium Series Transformers 6 Inch Metal Cybertron Heroes Scorge
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
For those of us who remember the original '86 animated movie, we surley can appreciate the rareness of finding a true scourge figure. This guy delivers there, as this is probably the most acurate scourge figue ever, including the G1 original. After that though it's tough to find to much to like here, first for collectors, it took me about a half hour to get him out of the package, and even being that careful one of his arms snapped off anyway.(thankfully they snap back on) Once I did, i found out quickly that die-cast metal and thin plastic aren't a good combo. everytime I transform it, it feels like the plastic will break, no matter how careful. A few pluses though, it is highly posable and stands up very well due do the fact that half it's weight is in it's legs. Also as someone who has owned hundreds of transformers, this one may be the easiest transformation in history, three steps...legs-wings- fold up head.
So if you are a fan of the original movie, or a collector who dosen't mind throwing out the box, you may like this one. This should be avoided for kids though, despite the easy transformation, it is very flimsy.

Transformers Alternators Jeep Wrangler Rollbar Review

Transformers Alternators Jeep Wrangler Rollbar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Like Swindle and Hound before him, Rollbar is a welcome addition to the Alternators line. I likely would have picked up Hound had I known about Alternators early on. But they are all essentially the same mold, which is nice for those of us who would just like this style of Alternator. And the reddish orange color does make this guy pop.
In his Jeep mode, there is some very nice detailing to Rollbar. The life like shocks on the wheels, the gear shift, and the detailing on the dashboard all make this Jeep look like a model that you might have built. The wheel cover is also quite sharp, and doubles as a place to store the laser pistol that comes with this Autobot offroader.
The first time I tried to transform Rollbar, he was a bit stiff in the knees. For whatever reason, neither of the legs would pivot around. I didn't want to snap the legs off first day out of the box. So I put him back into Jeep mode and came back a few days later. This time, the planets aligned and the Spark of Primus was upon us all. Success !!!
I've got to say, that as cool as Jeep mode is, the Robot Warrior thing really works for this guy. The articulated legs look like something I would expect to see in the upcoming live action movie. The way the head and chest area present themselves is just very cool, especially with the doors opened and flared out behind. I'm sure there are sleeker Alternators in the line, but as far as I am concerned, they just don't get any more rough and tumble than Rollbar !

Front wheel drive is for sissies. And nobody knows that better than Rollbar. This rugged Jeep Wrangler has realistic tires, adjustable seats, a rollbar, a detailed interior and a weapon hidden in the spare tire. Measures 7".

I have a 3 year old and we have tried some of the bigger Transformers (quick conversion Bumblebee, etc) and he LOVES these Transformers Legends action figures. They are easy to figure out and put together so well that they run down race tracks very cleanly and fast. The cheapest Transformers that you can buy, we have bought him Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Optimus Prime, and Megatron. I wouldn't buy any other Transformers toys!

Transformers Nightwatch Optimus Prime Review

Transformers Nightwatch Optimus Prime
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This Optimus Prime (Leader Class) figure standing at an awesome 13 inches tall, now infused with power from the Allspark, can go into stealth mode - hence the new colors. A more sneaky version of the Autobots head honcho it's really just a repaint of the first Leader Class model.
The detail on this toy is impressive - from realistic rubber tires to individually moving fingers. Truck mode even has a working horn and cab lights. There are not as many flames as the original version (which could be a good thing) but the nighttime blue look really adds a whole different attitude to Optimus.
The transformation process is challenging but not impossible as every part has a logical place to go. This version of Prime sports the automorph action (which basically is an automatic finish to the transformation into robot mode) with working lights. Unlike many Transformer figures both the vehicle and the robot modes are top notch. I can't decide which form to display this guy in because they are both so cool!
I have transformed countless robots in my lifetime but I have to say this is one the best quality Transformers I've seen. Nightwatch Optimus Prime is a great toy and one of the few 40 dollar figures you will find that is actually worth the cash.

Transformers Movie Voyager Ratchet Metallic Limited Edition Review

Transformers Movie Voyager Ratchet Metallic Limited Edition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Bought this because it will soon be a rare item and I enjoy getting rare Transformers figures, plus I didn't have a Ratchet and I read great reviews about this Voyager Ratchet. Vehicle Mode has great detail and the metallic paint job adds to the appearance. However, there are issues with everything snapping snugly into place so there always gaps and parts sticking out, though this may depend on the quality of the particular figure. Transformation is somewhat simple, but still fun. The resulting robot mode contains very little kibble so every part of the vehicle is part of the robot. This makes the figure really look like a Transformer, but at the same time adds to the bulkiness, which in turn limits the poseability. But, that also results in better durability since the thing looks like it can handle being tossed across the room repeatedly (not that I advocate such behavior, especially with such a great-looking figure). There is also no gun for this figure, as opposed to the Deluxe version.

I got Myself a 2006 Camaro Concept Jada "Muscle" Camaro in "1/18" at the Local TRU,$24.95 I tried to get a discount but they wouldn't budge! It has one maybe 2 little tiny specks/imperfections but nothing major, It looks larger than 1/18 almost 1/16? 1/12? I got the Yellow /Black stripes(Doesnt say Bumble Bee Close for me)other than being Freakishly large and cheapy detail, and hood/trunk not being able to stay open.clumsy chrome, almost a toy really. It still has a place for me,Again hardly any detail, but nobody else makes a 1/18 for this car,not sure If the later Versions were improved,Don't know Why GM can't license this to AutoArt.

Though this toy looks great in robot mode, his articulation is about as good as a brick's articulation. He looks terrible in his jet mode. From the bottom, that is. He may as well be one of those Transformers RPMS; his vehicle mode is basically a jet with Starscream imprinted on the bottom. It is quite durable, though. Will never break.

Japanese Transformers Animated - TA05 Prowl Review

Japanese Transformers Animated - TA05 Prowl
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My 5 year old loves transformers and knows them all by name. When he asked Santa only for a toy "prowl" and one other thing, I had to make sure he got it. Of course, the one transformer he asks for I cannot find anywhere. So I pay thirty something dollars for this Japanese version (this same style toy here is roughly $10-$15), for it to last ONE DAY. The toy is tiny and has broken into pieces! I wish we didn't get this and spent the money on something more worthwhile.
