Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Exclusive Action Figure Constructicon Devastator 7 Robots Combine Review

Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Exclusive Action Figure Constructicon Devastator 7 Robots Combine
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As Devastator, this is a great toy. It's screen accurate and very cool looking! I like that it was done in G1 colors, too. My only gripe is the lack of purple. There IS purple, but not enough. Uncombined, most of the constructicons are pretty bad toys, particularly Mixmaster (the head). However, Scrapper is nice. And I REALLY like Scavenger. I love how they were able to conceal his giant wheels in an excavator mode on a toy in that size. And that they all have individual robot modes and are still able to combine is just awesome. So, if you're a constructicon fan, you should try something else. However, if you're a Devastator fan, this is the best toy you'll ever find.

Transformers Encore Series Ratchet Review

Transformers Encore Series Ratchet
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When Ratchet was released I had to have him, since he was the first original G1 Transformers I got. Ratchet looks good in vehicle mode. Just like any early Autobot cars made of hard plastic and rubber wheels. His transformation is similar to Optimus Prime. Half of the car turns into a robot and the other half turn into a battle station. Granted his robot mode looks nothing like the cartoon character with a head.
The Japanese version still has shooting plastic missiles. The only dishonor the storyline did was to kill him off in the movie and then later on send his tomb into the sun in a later episode. Ratchet is one of the original classic Autobot Transformers.

Transformers Generation Skullgrin Review

Transformers Generation Skullgrin
Average Reviews:

Skullgrin is one of the best generations transformers out there. His vehicle mode is a half-track which is like a tank with a sleeker look, but still has all the firepower to take care of anything in his path. The detail on the figure is outstanding from top to bottom. If he looks familiar Skullgrin is a re-paint of the Darkmount figure and is just as awesome!Skullgrin's head piece though is different to where it actually looks like a real head with a sinister grin on it.Also the main cannon piece from vehicle mode turns into a battle axe for close encounters which fits very well in his hands which are poseable.Skullgrin also has a 3rd mode which is a battle station that looks like a futuristic stationary rotating gun turret to take down any airborne enemies as well. The transformation process is intermediate meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is midlevel difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger the process can be challenging,so be ready to help out some. The poseability and durability are both an A++.Bottom line Skullgrin is a high quality,well-made,10 out of 10 figure that all transformer fans should treasure.I hope this helps out some.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Voice Transformer Review

Voice Transformer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The voice transformer is great fun for kids in their youngetr years. It has several different voices and you can combine the effects, to some degree to make about up to ten different voices. The instructions for voices on the back of the package was a little off, but it's not hard to figure out at all, a kid could figure it out all on his own in a manner of minutes. The mic not being attached to the rest of the toy is a nice design, but if you have a child that like to pull on stuff or twist it a lot this may not be for you. If your looking for something that will have a realish voice after it has been "transformed" this one is not for you.

Transformers Movie Deluxe Dreadwing Jet Review

Transformers Movie Deluxe Dreadwing Jet
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just picked up Dreadwing from the movie deluxe line today. I have always liked the Decepticon Jets and I just had to have this one even though he is not featured in the 2007 movie. The figure comes packed in his alt mode which is a really attractive MiG 29 Fulcrum in Russian winter military camo. The only drawback to the alt mode is the large cylinder hanging under the belly that becomes Dreadwing's legs. This is a similar gripe to the one I have for Starscream, the scale appearance of the jet makes sacrifices to the needs of a transforming toy and just stores extra parts folded up under the body. The underbody portion also has 4 small wheels so you can roll him around if you like. There is no proper landing gear. There are 2 missles that double as afterburner jet blasts in the alternate mode.
The Robot mode is where things get a little interesting. This robot is much like Starscream in his simian appearance. he has a very heavy upper body with tiny little legs. The nose cone of the jet simply folds backward to reveal a "lensface" head with no real features. I find it to be a very strange design choice to have these large autonomous robots be completely featureless in thier facial anatomy. It makes the character seem a bit of a throwaway, but I guess it serves the souless nature of the decepticons that they are trying to achieve in this generation of toys. The robot mode is fairly fun though, and he has double missile launchers for hands, again, just like starscream. He is a good addition to the deluxe line as he is the only deluxe figure that is an aircraft.

Transformers Movie Deluxe Payload Armored Truck Review

Transformers Movie Deluxe Payload Armored Truck
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I saw this transformer at the store and i liked it as an armored truck. It didn't appear in the transformers movie, but nevertheless i wanted it. It's a very nice surprise to transform it into robot ! He reminds me a lot of G1 Shockwave, with a single, menacing eye. It has several flaws: a lot of parts (the head, the bumpers, the hands) will snap-off too easily and you'll have to reassemble it once and again. It's top-heavy, so it's hard to pose it. And the feet are too slippery, so he falls down constantly.
...However.... it has so many little details that surprise you, that you can forgive his other flaws. The Claw Attack feature is very nice and fast, and adds a lot for playability. Sadly, it looks like if a steel beam found his way through poor Payload's chest forever. But its blue color, the appearing kneecaps, the hideout for the hands and all the details in the panels make up for all the defects. It makes a mean truck too.
If you are a collector like me, you can't leave this one out.

Transformers Movie 2 Leader - Shadow Command Megatron Review

Transformers Movie 2 Leader - Shadow Command Megatron
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Well I bought this toy after learning through trial and error that the bigger the transformer the simpler the transformation. Megatron from ROTF is very easy to transform. I purchased the shadow command version because of the colors. No special features to my knowledge in comparison to the V1 of ROTF Megatron. I like this toy, my daughter and I are enjoying it. looks very cool transformed and in full tank mode as well. Detail is amazing. Wish he said more then "There is no command but mine" but other then that I have no negatives. Pictures for transforming instructions are a little deceiving but once you figure out the legs full rotation the rest is a snap. They show a 15 step process but its really about 9 i think once you understand the limitations of each limb and what locks into each place where.
I dont have Optimus yet but I am going to purchase him now. This is my first leader class size transformer and I am thrilled with the overall purchase and quality.

Few robots achieve the same legendary status as MEGATRON, but DARKMOUNT is one. He is just as famous on CYBERTRON as the impenetrable fortress that bears his name. From there, he ruled his small corner of the machine world with an iron fist, controlling his subjects with an equal measure of fear and pain. So terrible was his rule that even MEGATRON gave him a wide berth, and treated him with the respect due to an equal. Turn the tables on the good guys when you throw this warrior into the fight! Your DARKMOUNT figure is dedicated to destroying any opponent he just might have the power to get the job done. Transformers Animated Voyager - Shockwave Review

Transformers Animated Voyager - Shockwave
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is an awesome figure. It has four conversion modes (Shockwave robot mode, Shockwave Cybertronian tank mode, Longarm Prime robot mode, and Longarm Prime crane mode). When the toy is in Shockwave's robot mode, he is just as tall as the Transformers Animated Starscream in robot mode. As Longarm Prime, he is as large as the Transformers Animated Lugnut figure in robot mode.
Shockwave in robot mode is awesome. He looks a lot like the character in the tv show. So does Longarm Prime in robot mode. The toy's Cybertronian tank mode is also very much like how it is drawn in the cartoon. I can't say how closely the toy resembles the cartoon in crane mode because the cartoon didn't show too much of him in that mode, (if they did, it was so quick and insignificant I didn't even remember it).
If any of you are wondering what the difference between the blue-gray Shockwave and the purple Shockwave is, other than the color scheme, they're the same toy. Except the purple Shockwave is packaged along with a smaller version of Transformers Animated Ratchet. The purple color scheme follows along with how late in the tv series, the Shockwave character reveals his "true colors" and converts from a blue-gray color scheme to a purple color scheme. So all you parents out there, ask your kid what they want. Purple is the reveal. Blue-gray is for espionage.
Articulation is nice, the figure is fairly posable.
Transformation is pretty simple and straightforward. Things snap into place where they're supposed to. Again, if you're looking for a challenge as far as transforming the toy into the different modes are concerned, this isn't the toy for you. Transformers Blackarachnia was more of a challenge than this one was.
A nice touch is the figure's ability to change from the Autobot insignia to the Decepticon insignia.
As a parent, my only concern about this toy are the hand pieces that has the tendency to easily fall off. Shockwave robot mode's two claws can pull off too easily in mid-transformation if handled "incorrectly". I don't recommend pulling on these parts during transformation. These claws are dangerous when little children who like to put toys in their mouths are around the toy, because of how small they are. Longarm Prime robot mode's hands can come off too, but it's a bit harder to pull these off the toy.
Other than that there are no foreseeable parts that a child may "accidentally" ingest.
Shockwave's robot mode has horns that are made out of soft plastic and so is not a safety issue. Longarm Prime's hook in crane mode is also made of soft plastic as well.
The only negative comment is that the figure's two vehicle modes are boring and uninspiring. However, both robot modes pick up the slack.

Transformers Deluxe Movie Collection 2 - Generation Thrust Review

Transformers Deluxe Movie Collection 2 - Generation Thrust
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This figure is a great Transformer for a young fan. I watched the original cartoon as a child (and still do on the HUB network)and the cone-head seekers were my favorite baddies. This is a VERY good G1 reproduction figure, even my mother recognized him from the cartoon. The transformation is very easy, and a little disappointing but all around a great figure.
*robot mode*
The robot mode gets a 10/10 score for looks but a 8/10 for functionality. His wings are so close to his shoulders that there is about 45 degrees that the arm can rotate, without the turbines on . With the turbines on there is about a 20 to 25 decree rotation left over, the turbines can be moved to the lower "ankle wings" but that is a personal preference. The figure looks great. The colors are rich and vibrant. The molded detail is very impressive, and the face sculpt has a great scowl on it and he just LOOKS like a bad guy.
*vehicle mode*
The jet mode is . . . . ok. 6.5/10 for looks and functionality. The top half of the jet is great, but the bottom half . . . . not so much. There is an empty cavity where the "chest" is and he has type 1 VHS (visual head syndrome). The figure locks in tight at all points but the underside takes away from the enjoyment from the figure. The figure has fold out landing gear that can fold out and adds to the realism to the jet.
So over all the figure is 8.75/10. A good solid figure but a little more could have been done. I really like this figure and look forward to every re-mold Hasbro can put out.

THRUST was great to have around during the early days of the war, when the DECEPTICONS won victory after victory. His thundering engines and shouted threats terrified the few AUTOBOTS that stood against them. It wasnt until later, when the AUTOBOTS got organized enough to put up a real fight, that THRUST began screaming like an alpha unit and fleeing at the first sign of danger. Race into action with this fearsome THRUST figure! In robot mode with his twin cannons and two firing missile accessories, this fighter is as tough as they come.

However, my only complaint comes from the sticker quality. They aren't in horrible condition, but you will have to smooth them over a few times in order to get them to stick. Transformers Movie Performance Track Review

Transformers Movie Performance Track
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We just purchased and assembled this toy for my 7yo son. It was easy enough to put together with adult help. My son pointed out the pin on the flat piece which inserts into the launcher... if the pin is not facing up as the instructions indicate, then launching will be near impossible. We assembled it correctly and have no issues launching. However, there are some issues with this toy. First, there is no volume control and it is quite loud. Loud enough that I require my son to play with it in another room so the rest of us can have conversation. Second, the Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and "finish line" pieces are simply part of the exterior box which you must cut out yourself. The Bumblebee and Optimus Prime pieces have to be bent in such a way that they tear or break easily. Luckily these pieces are not necessary to make the toy work, but they look cool and your child will want them cut out and attached so it will look like it does on the box. They also do not cut out easily with a regular pair of (adult) scissors. Seems like it would have been simple enough to make these parts from plastic with stickers on them rather than part of the actual box. If the box is damaged, then these pieces are likely damaged too. And, because you have to cut up the box to fully assemble the toy, you no longer have it to return or store the toy if necessary. Third, this toy is not easily moved from room to room. Pieces come apart and for the most part they can be easily reassembled, but the cardboard pieces fall off and become more damaged each time they have to be re-attached. Lastly, for the price tag, this toy is not a good value. It looks and feels like a less than twenty dollar toy, not a forty to fifty dollar toy.

Transformers Voyager Starscream Review

Transformers Voyager Starscream
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Starscream. He's the whiney transformer we all love to hate. We didn't get too much of him in the 1st transformers movie but hopefully he'll play a bigger role in Revenge of the Fallen.
For kids:
This is one slick jet. When transformed it really looks like an F-22 Raptor and it has a cool paint job. It looks a bit like camouflage but is really Cybertronian in design. He has a unique transformation to robot form and features several spinning gears in his chest that move when his head is turned. His transformation is challenging without being overwhelming. I think kids will really enjoy this guy.
For adults:
Sorry to compare to the 1st movie's toy of this character but it's a comparison that needs to be made - whether you have that one or not you'll probably get the point. I liked that one but this one puts it to shame. In jet mode the old figure looked fine but the underside was clunky and horribly fat with arms (which were really just huge missile launchers) and legs tucked under there. In all fairness it didn't even look like a jet from the bottom. Plus his head was always peeking out at you.
Well they went back to the drawing board with this one and man is it an improvement! This is not just a repaint. Instead of big and clunky he's sleek and smooth in jet form. The only robot bits visible at all are his hands otherwise this could be a cool little model of the F-22. The addition of the markings and symbols make him a bit more eye popping too and there are plenty of little sculpting details.
His transformation is totally different and is quite a bit of cool engineering. His head is completely hidden inside the jet and as he unfolds the body of the jet actually becomes the arms and legs and body instead of being all tucked under. It is an intricate but not an over complicated unfolding process. There are a couple of points to slot together and the tail fins that become his chest have two little black knobs that need to be matched to two little black holes as they are folded up into his body. This allows the "mech-alive" feature to work. It's a nifty little gimmick that when you turn his head several gears move in his chest.
This new Starscream may be a touch smaller than his movie 1 counterpart but the head and body sculpt are much more accurate. Plus he actually has hands. He also has missile launchers on top of his arms and he can shoot his projectiles. The only downside I could find what that the package seems to indicate "pop-up" missile launchers but they do not pop up and are just a solid piece of the arm. I won't knock off for that though since he's such an improvement in execution over the other.
He's a great fun figure with a great fun transformation that does not overwhelm.
