Although I did not purchase this through Amazon, I bought it at Target for a comparable price. We did this because this was to be the first toy my 5 year old son bought "with his own money". Well, the $15 was well worth it. Although this does not transform into Megatron, I'm glad it does not. All those transforming toys have been is trouble. The makers have started putting a level of transforming difficulty on the box but if your child is not at least 8 or so, you're just asking for trouble in the form of frustration. This armored tank or "gun car" as my boy calls it has no electrical parts and does it's movements by the old mechanical gear wind up. That is, you pull the back plastic cord and when you press the button on top, about a dozen panels open up and weapons rise up out of them. REALLY COOL. On top of that, the toy comes with two plastic missiles which are launched about 5 feet (and are not dangerous) with a press of another button. Just make sure you get the missiles out of the packaging and do not throw them away! It's hard not to go out and purchase the rest of the set as they all seem to offer something unique not the least of which is the Optimus Prime model which is fully automatic and does run on batteries.
