(More customer reviews)MISSILES!!! Missiles, missiles and more missiles. Mindset's got'em. Mindset is a Multiple Rocket Launcher vehicle. His blue/black/gray coloring and treads seems to suggest he's built to be disguised as a arctic military vehicle. You know, for all that polar warfare happening on Earth. But I honestly chose him over the mold he was repainted from because I preferred this to the garish jungle camo Hailstorm had. While the vehicle isn't all that exciting, the turret does rotate 270° and elevates in about a 70° range. His gimmick of "pressure launch missiles" goes from a tabletop battle range of about 2 feet to a dismal Autobot demoralizing few inches. But hey, any missiles is good missiles right? No? Okay but they do look sweet. Missiles!
Pegged together Mindset is one of the more solid Transformers out there. Pretty damned kid durable. His transformation is also very kid friendly and refreshingly clever. Robot mode is great. He's pretty short and stocky but a nicely detailed mold. It looks like his hands may have been intended to be articulated earlier in the production design, but as is you can wiggle some standard Transformer weapons into his hands with little trouble. MIssiles! (maybe he can throw them farther than he can launch them) I do wish there was light piping in the eyes, but since there is no other transparent plastic on the figure they probably didn't mold any to save costs. The scale is a bit off on the vehicle and I have no doubt he would've made a much more awesome Voyager class toy. And again there's those pesky missiles. If only they were spring fired and he didn't have a big useless backpack to accommodate the 'safety stems' on his current missiles. Safety Missiles!
He's an awesome toy for kids due to his transforming simplicity and durability, but adult collectors will love the detailing and he's perfect for adding to a shelf of military themed Transformers. I'd say he's worth the 10 bucks or so he goes for on average. MISSILES!
And remember parents: If you don't like challenging your children, BUY AGE APPROPRIATE.
