Transformers Classic Legends - Autobot Bumblebee Review

Transformers Classic Legends - Autobot Bumblebee
Average Reviews:

This toy is slightly larger than usual legend class TF's and is a repaint of Hotshot, Nice looking car mode with detailing. Robot mode has reasonable articulation, shoulders and hips are on ball joints however the head is static. all in all a good looking toy with one small inconvenience, it doesn't even look like any Bumblebee you've seen before! If you are a collector this is a must have as this toy is scarce with limited stockists, it went under the radar, must of been the timing of the release, majority of people don't even know he exists. this makes classics legend BB very collectable. Buy it now before it runs out! :)

Transformers 2 Optimus Prime Boy's Bike (16-Inch Wheels) Review

Transformers 2 Optimus Prime Boy's Bike (16-Inch Wheels)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Hi there- I can't believe someone actually had a 5 star review of this bike.
A little background-
I never review because it is time consuming , but this was too compelling. I have a 4 year old who adores Transformers- we got this bike for his birthday and he was in love. The design is perfect. And that is where the love affair ends.
The bike arrives in 100 pieces and expect even an experienced PAPA (my hubby) to spend a few hours constructing this. In the end, he had to go to Home Depot twice for missing screws and hardware and then he actually had to bend the "fork" on the wheel to get it to go together. My hubby is an engineer not a moron, and this project was tasking.
But it gets even better...
We had it for a couple months with rare use and one day, the left pedal came right off, while my son was riding- as it turned out the inside was stripped. We brought it to a bike repair shop, hoping they would have an answer and I can bet you know what they told us.
THE BIKE IS TRASH. There is no replacement of the stripped piece because it is the actual frame of the bike- good luck getting that piece from the foreign manufacturer, too.
Needless to say, it is going out in the trash on Friday- what a bummer!

The Transformers Optimus Prime 16-inch bike is an ideal bicycle for boys and girls who have just learned how to ride a bike. Featuring a curvy BMX-style design, this official Transformers bicycle offers a vibrant blue and red motif that resembles Optimus Prime, leader of the heroic Autobots from the 2007 and 2009 blockbusters. Training wheels offer stability while learning and can be easily removed. The coaster-style brakes make stopping a breeze for new cyclists, and the bike also includes a front caliper brake for advanced riders. Other features include a handlebar pad, an enclosed chain guard to help prevent snags and dirty pants cuffs, knobby tires for excellent traction (16 x 2.125 inches), padded seat, adjustable seat post, and a Transformers logo shield on the front of the handlebars. Recommended for ages 3 to 6.

As a Transformer fan/collector, I would say that for every step forward Hasbro takes this brand, they also end up taking another step backward. The upcoming Alternators line is considered a step forward; THIS would be the step backward. LEGOesque transforming robot sets is not really a new idea, but it's a good one. Unfortunately, somehow, Hasbro screwed up. In the first place, you have to build the BTR Transformers in vehicle mode, then TEAR THEM APART AND REBUILD THEM as robots! That 'trans-skeleton' doesn't help, either - at least with the competing Blok Bots (and some LEGO sets if you use your imagination) you can create ways to actually transform them. Secondly, the bricks don't even bind properly - nothing short of gluing them together will keep the model in one piece once built. And since it wouldn't transform anyway, even THAT doesn't make this set appealing to someone who loves both Transformers and LEGOs as much as I do - and I know because I've been an enthusiast for both since I was a kid. I've built actual transforming robots (including Transformers characters) that are more durable than this. I don't recommend this for kids at all, though more mature LEGO builders might find some use for the pieces. And if you must buy this, get it for cannibalization purposes only - most of the parts can probably be salvaged.

Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Exclusive Deluxe Action Figure 3Pack Rampage Among The Ruins Rampage, Bumblebee Ravage Review

Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Exclusive Deluxe Action Figure 3Pack Rampage Among The Ruins Rampage, Bumblebee Ravage
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I will start off by saying I would put this figure 3 pack in the top three of best ones ever! The battle scar detail on all three figures is amazing. The rampage figure is the best one so far.The color scheme is awesome on both him and the ravage figures.I would put the ravage figure as the second best one ever done behind the recon ravage figure. The bumblebee figure is also one of the best deluxe class figures done also.I will go ahead and give some more details of each figure to give a better understanding of what I'm talking about to help anyone out that might be wanting to pick on up at Toys R Us exclusively.First 1)Rampage-This version looks just like the movie version.Rampage is very durable, easy to transform, and has actually 3 transformation modes,Robot,Bulldozer, and Jackhammer. The only thing is his poseability. The way they designed the figure he doesn't stand up without you holding him or leaning him against something. All around though the figure is very well made. 2)Bumblebee-This version comes with him already having the battle mask, and shoulder cannons present. The battle scar claw marks are very cool. The figure is durable, easy to transform, and very well made. The cannons also can show in vehicle mode.He is very sturdy and poseable for acting out the desert battle scene.A definite must have for any transformer fan out there. 3)Ravage-In my opinion this ravage is just all around kick-ass.The transformation is easy,he is very durable, very well made, and very poseable for acting out the battle scene. The detail is awesome with the sandblast look adding to the exact movie version look.I have every ravage they have done and highly recommend getting your hands on this bad-ass kitty while you can.Bottom line this 3-pack is an all around worthwile piece to add to your collection,or if you are a parent looking for some cool transformers for your child to enjoy.I highly recommend this Rampage Among The Ruins set to any transformer fan out there.Transformers Rule!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you thought that the Gen 1 Metroplex was big, wait till you see this one. He is already big in work mode but in battle mode he is HUGE! and his battle axe Sparkrinder is a weapon like no other. The drillbit minicon adds as a cool claw weapon. This robot stands 13'' in battle mode your kids will love this Giant planets leader. Don't pay more than $34.99 for it, there are plenty of it at the stores.

Skywarp - Transformers Cybertron Deluxe Review

Skywarp - Transformers Cybertron Deluxe
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you're like me, you grew up as a child in the 1980's watching the original Transformers cartoon series and playing with those toys. If you're even more like me, then some of your favorites were the Decepticon seeker jets.
IF YOU'RE NOT LIKE ME, WELL I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE!
Although they eventually added more, the original 3 Decepticon jets were Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp. Now, over 20 years later, you can again find those 3 jets back on the store shelves, but if you're looking at the Trasnformers Cybertron line of toys (as this product is from), i should warn you that these aren't the exact characters you grew up with.
I'll single out Skywarp because that's who I'm reviewing here.
Yes, Skywarp is a jet. Yes, he has a lot of purple on him (although the original was more black and purple) Yes, he is a Decepticon. Yes, he is a sneaky little jerk who enjoys teleporting back and forth and playing tricks on both the Autobots and even his own friends.
Sounds like the old Skywarp, right?
Well, sorta. This toy is actually based on a seperate character from the new Cybertron cartoon series they show on the Cartoon network. While they have things in common and while that character was obviously loosely based on the first one, they are in fact different. That said, either way, it's not a bad toy to pick up.
This Skywarp has some good points and bad points but I feel like the good outweighs the bad. I'll get the negative out of the way first.
First of all, it's not the easiest transformation mode. It's far from impossible but takes some working to figure out. The instructions don't do you a lot of favors, but try it enough times and you'll get it down pat. The robot mode is slightly awkward looking because Skywarp has one regular arm and one cannon arm.
Okay, now for the good. Despite it having far less black than a "traditional" Skywarp, I actually like the color scheme a lot. I think a diehard Transformers fan might have been involved on this one because the purple, red and grey remind me a lot of Cyclonus, the charcter the original Skywarp turned into during Transformers - The Movie. The seeker jet mode is also really cool looking and would fit well into any Transformers toy line or "generation". Finally, for you Wal-Mart shoppers, they just rolled the prices back on the "Deluxe Class" of their Cybertron line, meaning you can get this and a couple other cool figures for under $8 now. I wouldn't say it's the best Transformers toy ever, but I think it's a pretty good addition to almost every collection.

Transformers Stampers Art Set (24) Pcs Free Case Review

Transformers Stampers Art Set (24) Pcs Free Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We couldn't wait to receive the Transformers Stampers Art Set. Upon arrival, we were disappointed that the stamps were so small and difficult to read which character each picture portrayed. However, if the stamp was waterproof on fabric, it would be a great activity for children to design their own Transformer's t-shirts. Children love these stamps. However, once used and washed, the stamped design washed out of the t-shirt. After purchasing several ink pads to match the color, we now have the stamps with ink that will not wash out on the shirt. (Note: Transformers stamps are very difficult to find on line and in stores). After this purchase, along with the stamp pads I needed to purchase to uphold the ink in the wash, this activity did become an expensive one but at least we were able to make it work. A bonus - the nice case that could be used to hold the stamps or pencils and things. I hope Jossy will make a larger Transformers (The movie) stamp set in the near future with the option for permanent or non-permanent ink.

Transformers Animated Activators - Autobot Optimus Prime Review

Transformers Animated Activators - Autobot Optimus Prime
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After reading the other reviews, and with my son really wanting an Optimus, and having a pretty good experience with the other Animated Transformers toys (Starscream is super-easy, and Bulkhead is no problem), I got this without telling him. After futzing with it a bit, I think he'll be able to handle it once I tell him how. Here's the trick - do Step 1, then do Step 3, 4 & 5. When the upper body is done, then hook the wheels in like Step 2.
Now, in order to do Step 5, the key is to hold his front chest plate with one hand, then pull the back tab straight back with the other. He'll start to tuck in. While he's in mid-tuck, line up his arms properly, then tuck him the rest of the way in. Put the top tab down until it locks (if you look at it from the side, you'll see how it locks).
To robot-ize him, put your thumb on the Grey back for some leverage, and flick the little red button (like in the instructions) to open him up. Works like a charm.
Not intuitive, but no problem once practiced 2 or 3 times.
Now my son (almost 4 yr) can do it. He still has problems locking it sometimes, but can usually do it.

Transformers Rodimus Major Autobot from the Commemorative Series 1 Collection Review

Transformers Rodimus Major Autobot from the Commemorative Series 1 Collection
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Do you remember having those awesome Transformers when you were a kid and not taking very good care of them? Shame on you! I did the same thing.....BUT! Now is your chance at redemption! This Rodimus Major (known to us old folk as Hot Rod) is a perfect re-issue of the original figure. So for those of you who are twenty-something like I am, you can appreciate the nostelgia of this toy. In fact, buy two (or three or four)! Have one to play with and one to keep in an air-tight box to show the great-grandkids one day when they wanna see REAL toys! Also, be sure to look for Powermaster Optimus Prime and Starscream for Christmas! Makes a great gift for the not-so-little ones on your list! This particular Transformer is easy to transform and the stickers will not rub off with transformations. Just don't put on the stickers for the orange part of the legs, as they WILL rub off, and quickly if you keep changing it back and forth. A great product. I would tell you about how to get other re-issue TFs also, but I think the review disclaimer prohibits me from doing so.

The exact same mold with a different paint scheme from the original Cybertron Optimus Prime released in 2005.
Optimus has given up his Aubot Symbols with the 4 symbols of the Cyber (Planet) Keys and changing his classic Red and Blue for a much darker red and Black with a hint of silver and some gold to give him an "Updated" look.
All his transformation and abilities remain the same, and all his special powerlinx abilities remain as the previous mold. So he can be linked to Leobreaker and WingSaber.

Titanium Series Transformers 6 Inch Metal Cybertron Rodimus Prime

I ordered this Rodimus Prime toy as a gift for my nephew, little Harris. Unfortunately, instead of receiving the item as described above, I got what appears to be a robot that transforms into some kind of kinky adult novelty toy.
Although I feel that this is kind of an inappropriate product to list as a children's toy, my real complaint here is that the robot, which has come to be known as "Little Rod" around the apartment, is actually only around five inches tall.

Transformers Movie 2 Gravity Bots - BARRICADE Review

Transformers Movie 2 Gravity Bots - BARRICADE
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Right. I collect Barricade figures, so of course that means this one, too. Like all of the 'Gravity Bots', the fun of this toy is in the gravity! Flip him one way, and he 'transforms' into what is, let's be honest, a fairly lame representation of a robot. Flip him the other way and fwhip-fwhip! he's an adorably chubby little police car!
This simple mechanism has...no right being as fun as it is to play with. I have one of these on my desk and work and I've had otherwise 'mature' and uptight coworkers flip him back and forth and back and forth, sort of the way you play with a slinky.
The best, most action-packed toy ever? No. The coolest toy for traditional narrative-style play? Probably not. Irresistible to play with? Absolutely!
