(More customer reviews)I didn't buy this power supply to use with hobby toys. I have a nice family garden that is too large to water by hand, so I use drip irrigation to water it. Since I install drip irrigation in my garden, it would be senseless for me to use loose fertilizer granules to fertilize it. I thus bought a Fimco 3.8 gallon sprayer pump to pump liquid fertilizer to my drip irrigated garden, and it runs on 12V DC. Rather than to buy a lawn tractor battery every two years and recharge it every other day in order to power my sprayer pump, which runs on 12V 11 Amps at peak draw, I elected to surf the net for a decent and adequate 12V DC 11 Ampere power supply.
I have used my new fertilizer pumping system two times since purchasing this power supply, and the power supply has not failed to produce the necessary power to keep my pump operating. The power supply also stays nice and cool. My brother is an electrical engineer, and I ran my idea by him before making the purchase. He agreed that I had probably made a good choice in picking this unit. I follow the manual, and I do not leave the unit powered on when it is not in use, so I expect that since it stays cool and never is used for more than half an hour at a time or so, I should get several years of use from it. I am impressed with this product so far, an thus I recommend it for your projects.
