(More customer reviews)...very nice versions of Jetfire and Grimlock. I consider these two as a couple of the best transformers in the 'classic' line.
Both toys are very sturdy and put together very well. All the joints are tight, no lose parts.
Deluxe Grimlock looks sick in both his dinosaur and robot mode. Although, my preference is to leave grimlock in his dinosaur mode. This is actually my first dinosaur robot, never thought I would own one. Even though Grimlock is a deluxe version, he still looks intimidating. His transformation is actually more difficult than Jetfire's surprisingly.
Voyager Jetfire was the real reason why I ended up buying this gift set. The price was up there, but of course these toys were out since 2007 if I'm not mistaken, and for any Jetfire enthusiasts, this was a steal. Classic's Jetfire by itself costs as much if not more than the gift set, so it was a no brainer for me. I'd love to grab the TRU MP Grimlock version, but this gift set with Jetfire and Grimlock will do for now, especially since this gift set was only available in the Asian Market...
Jetfire's resemblance to the G1 version is almost identical in its red and white colors, including the red booster rockets when transformed into 'super' plane or 'super' robot. The 'tomcat' alt mode looks sick, with or without the booster rockets. Somewhat a heavy toy, it's almost as if the toy was built with all metal parts. His robot mode is pretty much what I thought it would be. Can't do too much posing in fear of having Jetfire topple over from being very top heavy, especially when the booster rockets are attached. His extra helmet to finalize the 'super' robot makes him look a little cheesy, but otherwise, no regrets in purchasing this gift set. (the box these guys came in looks really nice as well. it's like those children's books with pop up pictures, transformers style!)
My recommendation: Buy this gift set and relive those childhood memories...
