(More customer reviews)i bought this toy on amazon and let me say cool! i love blackout! this is a transformer so it goes from helicopter mode to robot mode. It was a little difficult at first but the instructions pretty much tell you how to do it. Overall its durable, I got it pretty quickly and i am satisfied. if your buying this for your kid, make sure he/she doesnt play to roughly with with because the parts are durable but thin, so any sharp movements might snap the peices.
i mainly got it for doing stopmotion. i love looking at it as well as transforming it, definitly get this over the regular series.

Transformers Takara Masterpiece Collection MP-08 Grimlock Review

(More customer reviews)This Masterpiece Grimlock is, ironically, supposed to be the smallest of the lot (while he was one of the biggest in the comics/show). That doesn't matter as it's crammed with features and gimmicks, fantastic detail and awesome possibility in both modes. This is a must buy for a collector and while a lot of the features do feel a little delicate be honest, you don't care.
With his price tag he's going to spend most of his life in a cabinet anyway. Even if he is hard to put down, the articulation is truly impressive, as are the bright shiny teeth.

I've always liked cats, and this guy is an add on. He has a ponytail but that dosen't matter, he is great anyway! His cyberkey activates claws which work in either form. Transformers Energon Scorponok Electronic Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)looks great, interesting transformation, sounds are greatly improved from the deluxe armada figues, BUT!
i think the collector obsession with tight joints has gotten to hasbro's collective brain. the last couple of energon toys i got (scorponok and arcee) have both been TOO tight, by a lot, and with scorponok it's so much the case that some of his semi-detachable parts tend to come off during every transformation.
...but they pop back on easily enough, so it's not that big a deal.
i'm mostly a g1 fan, so i kinda wish he was a LOT bigger, but as it is now he's sitting in my office comfortably and threateningly holding arcee off the ground with one hand and scaring the crap out of starscream with the other.
neat.oh, my other gripe is some minor difficulty in posability. his legs and arms aren't really as flexible as they might be, and he can't stand freely in robot mode with his tail up.

Transformers TakaraTomy Japanese Classics Figure Voyager D-01 Megatron Review

(More customer reviews)There are many aspects about Takara that makes them exceptional over Hasbro. One of them is the care and attention to detail. Almost never do you see Hasbro adding shiny chrome pieces to their figures on the first release. With Takara that sort of thing's standard issue. A HUGE plus is that with Takara figures there are NO frustrating twist ties keeping the figure firmly imprisoned in his plastic cage. Now onto Megatron himself;
While some might view the transformation of this guy as a bit hard it really is very intuitive, even on the second try. If needed a quick glance at the instructions (though in Japanese) will set you on your way. The color scheme is very much in keeping with G1 Megatron, not like the ever curious white/purple/neon green of Hasbro. The articulation is top notch, this Megatron has a world and half of possible poses in him. His fusion cannon is almost perfectly sized for his arm. Any who own or have even seen the Masterpiece Megatron know how an obscenely large gun can shave off good points. There have been gripes about the wings on this particular figure, but I honestly don't care. They're part of the transformation, they don't get in the way all that much, and in some poses they actually look pretty cool.
And yes the design for his gun mode was loosely based off of some Nerf gun. Fine whatever, he's supposed to be a space-like gun anyway. His head by the way is nicely G1-esk, with some very good red light piping. I have a small issue with his fist on his cannon arm. When pointing his cannon his fist is sideways in a weird way. It bothers me a little up close but unless you're really REALLY looking it over you can't tell. He doesn't fall apart easily all of his joints snap in and out of place solidly.
Final Conclusion: You really can't go wrong with this figure. My advice is to pass on the Hasbro classics Megatron and go for Takara's. Don't worry about the price. When I bought mine is was about forty-three dollars and that's completely worth it.

Please don't even think about paying $899.00 to these THIEVES here... these "third party thugs" through Amazon. Get 3!!! for that price, and easy. This is ridiculous. Actually,for these prices set on, this much speculation, is down right insulting. Figure is great just as the original in 1987. Don't be fooled into thinking there aren't any left and go on paying this amount. LET THEM ROT without buyers!
By the way this figure is being reissue again for $175.00!!!! NEW MISB. Go to Bigbadtoystore!!!! Now you can really let these $%^#@&$%$ rot with their $875.00 figure and shove it up their ^%*$!!!!

(More customer reviews)Powermaster Optimus Prime will always hold a place in my heart, but I must confess that Generation 2's Laser Optimus Prime outshines him in almost every way, and has yet to be surpassed, even with modern advances in toy tech. This Prime stands tall on his own, with no need for gimicky add-ons or supermodes. He is armed to the teeth
(or to the mouthplate, as the case may be) with a light-up sword and more missles than you can shake a matrix at. His vehicle mode is realistic yet adventurous, his battle station would send just about any Decepticon running for the hills. He is a must have for any serious Transformers collector.
But don't expect him to come cheap. This toy is almost impossible to find loose and complete, and we all know that MISB figures can cost a pretty penny. I found mine used without any weapons or accesories, and had to purchase a Transformers RID Robots in Disguise Deluxe SCOURGE Tanker Truck (2001 Hasbro) and rob him for parts. But if you can afford to drop the required moola on this guy, do so at once. And thank me later.

(More customer reviews)This was a purchase for my 6 year old son to "upgrade" from thomas the train. He immediatly loved it from the start.
The track went togehter in seconds, the buildings needed some hobby cement, but they were easy to assemble. The switches were manual, but they were great. In a past version of this set I had bought for my nephew, the train would always derail, but the company has improved it so it wouldn't derail as much. The headlight had to be rewired when we got it, but it was nothing duct tape couldn't fix. It also came with a cool little guide on how to get started in model railroading as a hobby. Great tips on everything. Some things that could have been better, The switches could have been remote, the crossing would have operated a bit better, the power pack could have been a bit easier to set up. Trees came with the set, an operating log car, and a bunch of other goodies. We hope to buy more track so my son and I can build a table for him to play on.

Transformers Animated Leader - Ultra Magnus Review

(More customer reviews)Ultra Magnus is the leader of the Cybertron Elite Guard. Not only is the leader of that, but he is also the commander of all the Autobots which kind of suprised me. He is a very nice figure. He says three phrases from the show. He says "We must return the Allspark to Cybertron", "Ultra Magnus here", and "Don't be a hero Optimus, it's not in your programing". He is my favorite character in Transformers Animated (next to Shockwave). He is a definte yes for your collection. Although I would like to have the G1 Titanium Ultra Magnus, he fits the bill.

Transformers G1 Reissue - Rodimus Prime Review

(More customer reviews)It felt like a year went by when I heard of this reissue. I have waited 16 years to get this Transformer. It is a great edition to any collection. It may not be a '86 release but it is alot cheaper. I was extremely pleased with the toy all together. I strongly suggest to all Transformer collecters who can't afford the older toys to buy the reissues. Plus the new ones are great for kitbashing. This reissue is the best one so far.
