(More customer reviews)Long before being Black Convoy of the Transformers 2000 line it was once known as Laser Optimus Prime from Generation 2. Of course it had a different color and electronics in it. But, this "replacement" Prime had something that it shared with others of the late gen 2 Line - multiple points of articulation that the old school line never had.
Fast foward to 2000. Give it a new color scheme, name, and line. Guess what? It still looks uberpimp! And he's black. What, you got a problem with that!
Even without the ball jointing of Fire convoy( RID Optimus) and God Magnus(Rid Ultra Magnus) it's still easy to pose and move for kids play. Should you let your kids touch it.
Did I happen to mention the [whole] load of projectiles to blind your kids. Well, actually the large ones with points have soft rubber tips. If your into that sort of thing.
The base splits open to reveal a plethora of weapons. Dare I say it bests the original Prime and Powermaster Prime(you know the one with the small robot that sticks on his frontside). This thing is a breeze to transform and not as time consuming as the others of Transformers 2000-Robots In Disguise line.
Now as Scourge he is lacking the lights and noise features it had in 1994. However, in his recast as Megatrons eager to please soldier (just like the original show) he is given a full background and fills the void in the large good guys versus bad guys ratio.
So fill it now! It's a must have. He's got a sword!

Scourge is a no-nonsense field commander formed during the creation of the Decepticons when Megatron scanned both a tanker truck and Optimus Prime. Because of this mix-up, Scourge resents the Autobots and especially their leader. Scourge is cunning, dangerous, and cruel, and his battle station is a fully loaded arsenal of weapons and high-tech equipment. This Transformer comes complete with his signature battle sword, a removable laser cannon, a scanning tower, an air-powered rocket launcher, a rapid-firefive-shot launcher, and an autoloading disc thrower.
